Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cannabinol topical (INM-755) is a cream formulation containing cannabinol (CBN) as the active pharmaceutical ingredient. It is being developed for the treatment of symptoms associated with epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a rare genetic skin disease characterized by fragile skin that easily blisters and wounds. The drug may help relieve hallmark EB symptoms such as inflammation and pain, as well as potentially enhance skin integrity in a subset of EB Simplex patients. INM-755 is the first cannabinol formulation to be studied in clinical trials as a potential therapeutic to treat disease.
