Cannabis FM1 is a medical-grade botanical product produced by the Stabilimento Chimico Farmaceutico Militare (SCFM) in Florence, Italy. It consists of dried and ground female cannabis inflorescences cultivated under EU-GMP standards. The FM1 variety is specifically characterized by a high delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content and low cannabidiol (CBD) content. It is used within the Italian public healthcare system for the management of chronic pain (including neuropathic and oncological pain), neurological conditions, and as supportive care for chemotherapy-induced side effects. The product is supplied to pharmacies for the preparation of magistral compounded formulations, such as oils or decoctions, as prescribed by physicians.
