Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The cannabis oil and cannabis vape product line refers to a suite of medical cannabis-based botanical drugs developed by Segal Pharma Group in partnership with Panaxia Pharmaceutical Industries. These products are standardized extracts containing specific ratios of cannabinoids, primarily delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD). THC acts as a partial agonist at the cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2, providing analgesic, anti-emetic, and muscle relaxant effects, while CBD interacts with various targets including TRPV1 and 5-HT1A receptors to provide anti-inflammatory and anti-convulsant properties. The products are available in multiple delivery forms, including oils for oral administration and cartridges for inhalation via vaporization. They are approved in Israel for a variety of medical indications, including chronic pain, cancer-related symptoms, treatment-resistant epilepsy, and palliative care.
