Overview

Cannabivarin (CBV), also known as cannabivarol, is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in minor amounts in the hemp plant Cannabis sativa. It is an analog of cannabinol (CBN) with a shortened side chain and is formed as an oxidation product of tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV). Unlike THC, CBV does not produce euphoric or psychoactive effects. Its pharmacological properties and potential therapeutic uses remain largely unstudied, with limited research available on its mechanism of action or clinical applications[1][2][3][8].
