Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CANNEFF VAG SUP is a Class IIa medical device developed by CB21 Pharma for the treatment of various gynecological conditions. It is a vaginal suppository containing a combination of hyaluronic acid sodium salt and cannabidiol (CBD). The product is designed to alleviate symptoms of vaginal discomfort following treated inflammation or mycosis and to promote the healing of atrophic and dystrophic vaginal mucous membranes. These conditions often arise from childbirth, gynecological surgery, or as a result of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or estrogen deficiency. The mechanism involves the local delivery of CBD and the hydrating properties of hyaluronic acid to restore the vaginal environment. It represents the first CBD-containing medical device to receive Class IIa certification in the European Union.
