CanniMed

CanniMed is a line of medical cannabis oil products containing varying ratios of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), the two primary active cannabinoids found in the Cannabis sativa plant. These oils are formulated for oral administration and are used primarily for symptom management in conditions such as cancer pain, neuropathic pain, insomnia, refractory nausea and vomiting, epilepsy (including severe pediatric epilepsy), multiple sclerosis-related spasticity, and other chronic conditions. The mechanism of action involves modulation of the endocannabinoid system through activation or modulation of cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2), which can affect neurotransmitter release, pain perception, inflammation, appetite regulation, mood stabilization, and seizure threshold. CanniMed products include different formulations such as high-THC (18:0), balanced THC/CBD (10:10), and high-CBD/low-THC (1:20) oils to tailor therapy to individual patient needs[1][2].
