Overview
Canntab IR THC tablet (marketed under the brand name Instacann) is an immediate-release oral solid dosage formulation of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC, also known as dronabinol) developed by Canntab Therapeutics. Utilizing a patented self-microemulsifying drug delivery system (SMEDDS), the tablet is designed to provide rapid absorption, high bioavailability, and precise dosing of THC. It acts as a partial agonist at the cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2, mimicking the effects of endogenous cannabinoids. The formulation is utilized for the management of conditions such as acute and chronic pain, inflammation, anxiety, and chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting.
