CAP-100 is a first-in-class humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the C-C motif chemokine receptor 7 (CCR7) on tumor cells. By binding to CCR7, CAP-100 neutralizes ligand-mediated signaling through both CCL19 and CCL21, thereby preventing the activity of CCR7 on tumor cells. This mechanism disrupts cancer cell migration to and survival in lymph nodes, directly killing cancer cells and preventing them from escaping into protective niches. Preclinical studies have shown that CAP-100 provides strong cell killing while preserving normal blood cells and inhibiting tumor cell survival in lymph nodes. It is being developed primarily for hematological malignancies such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL), with potential applications in other CCR7-expressing B-cell and T-cell leukemias/lymphomas as well as graft-versus-host disease[1][2][4][5].
