Overview

This is a combination regimen consisting of four drugs used in cancer therapy: - **Capecitabine** is an oral prodrug of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), a pyrimidine analog that inhibits DNA synthesis by interfering with thymidylate synthase, leading to cell death. It is primarily used for breast and colorectal cancers. - **Cyclophosphamide** is an alkylating agent that crosslinks DNA strands, preventing cell division and leading to apoptosis. It is widely used in various cancers including breast cancer and lymphomas. - **Toripalimab** is a monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor on T cells, acting as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. It has been developed for several solid tumors. - **Vinorelbine** is a vinca alkaloid chemotherapy agent that inhibits microtubule assembly, disrupting mitosis and causing cell cycle arrest. It’s commonly used in breast cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. This combination brings together cytotoxic chemotherapies (capecitabine, cyclophosphamide, vinorelbine) with immunotherapy (toripalimab), aiming for synergistic anti-cancer effects through both direct tumor cytotoxicity and immune-mediated mechanisms[1][6][8].
