Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A novel triplet combination therapy consisting of capecitabine, everolimus, and lapatinib. This combination targets HER2-positive breast cancer with central nervous system (CNS) metastases through multiple mechanisms: lapatinib inhibits EGFR and HER2 tyrosine kinases, everolimus selectively inhibits the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), and capecitabine is converted to 5-fluorouracil in tumor tissue to inhibit DNA synthesis.
