capeserod

Capeserod is an oral small molecule drug that functions as a selective 5-HT4 receptor partial agonist. Initially developed by Sanofi, its development was later halted for indications such as Alzheimer's disease and urinary incontinence. It was subsequently in-licensed by First Wave BioPharma (which later became Entero Therapeutics) for gastrointestinal conditions. The drug is currently being developed for gastroparesis, with a planned Phase 2 trial, and is also being considered for chronic idiopathic constipation and pediatric ulcerative colitis.
