CaPre

**CaPre** is an investigational, orally administered krill oil-derived omega-3 lipid product developed by Acasti Pharma, now Grace Therapeutics. It is a highly purified mixture containing predominantly eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid in phospholipid-ester and free-fatty-acid forms. CaPre was evaluated for triglyceride lowering in hypertriglyceridemia, including two completed Phase 3 TRILOGY studies in severe hypertriglyceridemia. Although CaPre-treated participants showed triglyceride reductions, neither pivotal trial achieved statistical significance for its primary endpoint, and Acasti announced in August 2020 that it would not submit an NDA or conduct additional CaPre trials in the United States.
