CAPRI cell therapy is a novel adoptive cell therapy (ACT) that utilizes a patient's own peripheral blood monocytic cells (PBMC). The therapy involves an ex vivo priming procedure where monocytes are activated to present cancer-immunogenic information to naive T cells, leading to the differentiation and activation of cytotoxic T killer and helper lymphocytes. These activated immune cells are then re-infused into the patient to enhance targeted cytotoxicity against cancer cells. This approach does not require genetic manipulation or tumor biopsies. CAPRI cell therapy has shown efficacy in various malignancies, including non-small-cell lung cancer and breast cancer, and has also been investigated for autoimmune disorders and persistent infections. It is developed by entities such as Cytocraft Bio-Tech Development CO.LTD and the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University.
