Overview

CAR-DC (Peking University Shenzhen Hospital) is an investigational autologous cell therapy consisting of dendritic cells (DCs) genetically modified to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR). Developed by Peking University Shenzhen Hospital, this therapy is being evaluated for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. Unlike traditional CAR-T therapies that use T cells as the effector, CAR-DC leverages the natural antigen-presenting and phagocytic functions of dendritic cells. The CAR constructs are designed to target specific tumor-associated antigens, including EphA2, CLDN18.2, Trop2, HER2, GCC, GPC3, and CEA, depending on the patient's tumor profile. The goal of the treatment is to enhance the immune system's ability to recognize and eliminate malignant cells through both direct action and the stimulation of endogenous anti-tumor immunity.
