Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CAR T-cell therapy (anti-CD20) refers to a class of adoptive cellular immunotherapies where a patient's or donor's T cells are genetically engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting the B-lymphocyte antigen CD20 (MS4A1). CD20 is a cell-surface protein highly expressed on mature B cells and most B-cell malignancies, making it a key therapeutic target for B-cell lymphomas and leukemias, particularly in patients who have relapsed or are refractory to anti-CD19 CAR-T therapies. Upon binding to CD20 on target cells, these engineered T cells undergo activation, proliferation, and mediate targeted cytotoxicity to deplete CD20-positive cells.
