CAR-T LeY is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by YaKe Biotechnology for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The therapy involves engineering a patient's T cells to express a CAR that specifically recognizes the Lewis Y (LeY) antigen, a carbohydrate antigen frequently overexpressed on the surface of various tumor cells, including those in AML. Upon reinfusion into the patient, these engineered CAR-T cells bind to LeY-expressing leukemic cells, leading to T-cell activation, expansion, and targeted cytotoxicity against the tumor. As of the latest pipeline information, the product is in the preclinical evaluation stage.
