CAR-T TM4SF1 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting Transmembrane 4 L6 Family Member 1 (TM4SF1). Developed by Shanghai 10th People's Hospital, this therapy is designed to treat various advanced solid tumors, including gastric, esophageal, lung, colorectal, and ovarian cancers, as well as mesothelioma. TM4SF1 is a protein highly expressed on the surface of many cancer cells and tumor-associated vascular endothelial cells, but has limited expression in normal tissues, making it a promising target for immunotherapy. The CAR-T cells are engineered to recognize and bind to TM4SF1, triggering T-cell activation, cytokine release, and direct cytotoxic killing of the tumor cells.
