Overview

CAR-Tumor 05 (also written as CAR-Tumor05) is an investigational oncolytic virus being developed by the Cancer Institute and Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. It is part of the 'CAR-Tumor' oncolytic virus platform, which also includes the related agent CAR-Tumor M01. CAR-Tumor 05 is designed to selectively replicate in and lyse tumor cells while stimulating an antitumor immune response. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase I platform clinical trial (NCT07859462) for the treatment of advanced malignant solid tumors, assessing safety, tolerability, efficacy, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics across multiple routes of administration, including intratumoral, intravenous, subcutaneous, intramuscular, pleural, and intraperitoneal delivery.
