Overview

CAR19-BCMA CAR-T cells is a dual-targeted chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to simultaneously target B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) and CD19. Developed by The Four Medical Center of PLA General Hospital, this autologous cell therapy is intended for the treatment of relapsed or refractory plasma cell neoplasms, including multiple myeloma, plasmacytoma, and plasma cell leukemia. By targeting BCMA, which is highly expressed on malignant plasma cells, and CD19, which is expressed on B-cell progenitors and potentially a subset of myeloma stem cells, the therapy aims to reduce the risk of antigen-escape-mediated relapse and improve the durability of clinical responses. It is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation in China to assess safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy.
