**CAR33M** is a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting CD33, a myeloid cell surface antigen overexpressed on acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells. It consists of engineered T cells expressing an anti-CD33 CAR construct designed to recognize and eliminate CD33-positive tumor cells through immunologic cytotoxicity. Developed as part of efforts to address trogocytosis-related exhaustion in CD33 CAR-T cells, CAR33M demonstrates enhanced persistence and antitumor activity in preclinical models of AML. It is under investigation for relapsed/refractory AML, with a focus on overcoming limitations of prior CD33-directed CAR therapies.[6]
