Overview

CAR70C1-ITNK is an experimental cell therapy consisting of induced T-cell-derived Natural Killer (ITNK) cells engineered with a tandem chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) designed to simultaneously target CD70 and C-type lectin-like molecule-1 (CLL1/CLEC12A). Developed by Tongji Hospital, this therapy is specifically investigated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML). By utilizing a dual-targeting approach, the therapy aims to address the clonal heterogeneity of AML and prevent antigen escape, which is a common cause of relapse in single-target CAR therapies. The ITNK platform involves the use of NK-like cells derived from T cells, which are intended to combine the potent cytotoxicity of NK cells with the proliferative capacity of T cells, potentially offering an improved safety and efficacy profile in the treatment of myeloid malignancies.
