Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Carbomer vaginal gel (also known as carbomer obstetric gel, marketed under the brand name Nuoxinshun) is a topical gel formulation developed by Chengdu Inno and SPH Sinea Pharmaceutical. It is approved in China (under drug registration number H20203283) for use during vaginal delivery to shorten labor, protect the vagina and perineum, and reduce the rate of assisted vaginal delivery or cesarean section. The gel acts primarily as a physical lubricant, forming a low-friction film in the birth canal to facilitate childbirth.
