**carboplatin + doxorubicin liposomal + bevacizumab** is a three-drug intravenous combination therapy primarily used in the treatment of platinum-sensitive recurrent ovarian cancer. Carboplatin is a platinum-based small molecule chemotherapeutic that causes DNA crosslinking and apoptosis. Doxorubicin liposomal (often pegylated), a liposome-encapsulated form of the anthracycline doxorubicin, intercalates DNA and inhibits topoisomerase II, blocking DNA replication and transcription. Bevacizumab is a monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), inhibiting tumor angiogenesis. This combination regimen is considered a standard option for platinum-eligible recurrent ovarian cancer and has demonstrated improved progression-free survival compared to some standard regimens[1][2][4]. Major toxicities include hypertension (mainly due to bevacizumab), neutropenia, thrombocytopenia (often due to cytotoxics), and less neuropathy compared to combinations using paclitaxel.
