Overview
A combination therapy consisting of carboplatin (a platinum-based chemotherapy agent), gefitinib (an epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor), and paclitaxel (a taxane chemotherapy agent). This regimen has been studied in clinical trials for advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), particularly in chemotherapy-naive patients. The combination can be administered with gefitinib given concurrently or in an intercalated fashion with the chemotherapy.
