Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Carboplatin + ibrilatazar + paclitaxel is a combination therapy that has shown promising efficacy in treating various cancers, particularly squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and endometrial cancer. Ibrilatazar (ABTL0812) is a novel oral drug that induces autophagy through a dual mechanism: inhibiting the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway and inducing endoplasmic reticulum stress. When combined with the chemotherapy agents paclitaxel and carboplatin, it has demonstrated significant improvements in efficacy endpoints compared to historical controls using just paclitaxel and carboplatin alone. The combination has shown good safety profiles without introducing additional significant adverse events beyond those associated with standard chemotherapy.
