Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of carboplatin, a platinum-based chemotherapy agent, and pyrotinib, an irreversible pan-ErbB receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor. This combination targets HER2-positive breast cancer by combining the DNA-damaging effects of carboplatin with the HER1, HER2, and HER4 inhibition provided by pyrotinib. It has shown significant efficacy in clinical trials, particularly in the neoadjuvant setting for early or locally advanced HER2-positive breast cancer and in patients with trastuzumab resistance.
