CarboRaft

CarboRaft is an oral therapeutic combination developed by ARB Remedies, consisting of sodium alginate, sodium bicarbonate, and calcium carbonate. It is indicated for the symptomatic relief of heartburn, indigestion, and acid reflux. The mechanism of action involves a dual approach: the sodium alginate reacts with gastric acid to form a viscous, pH-neutral gel raft that floats on the stomach contents, physically obstructing the reflux of acid into the esophagus. Concurrently, the bicarbonate and carbonate salts act as antacids, neutralizing excess gastric acid to alleviate irritation of the gastrointestinal mucosa. This combination is typically administered as an oral suspension to provide rapid and sustained relief from symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux.
