Overview
Aquaray is an ophthalmic lubricant formulation containing carboxymethylcellulose (also known as carmellose), developed by Raymed. It is used as artificial tears to provide temporary relief from burning, irritation, and discomfort caused by dry eye syndrome or environmental factors such as wind, sun, and prolonged screen exposure. Carboxymethylcellulose acts by stabilizing the tear film and maintaining necessary lubrication on the ocular surface, mimicking the behavior of natural tears.
