Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lubrinac is a combination lubricant eye drop developed by Optho Pharma for the treatment of dry eye symptoms and the support of overall ocular health. The formulation combines carboxymethylcellulose sodium, glycerin, and N-acetylcarnosine. Carboxymethylcellulose and glycerin serve as demulcents and lubricants that supplement the natural tear film, providing temporary relief from burning, irritation, and discomfort associated with dry eyes. N-acetylcarnosine is a dipeptide derivative with antioxidant properties that helps protect ocular tissues from oxidative damage and is often promoted to help delay the progression of age-related cataracts.
