**Carcinoembryonic antigen RNA-pulsed dendritic cell vaccine** is an individualized autologous dendritic-cell cancer vaccine in which patient-derived dendritic cells are loaded with messenger RNA encoding carcinoembryonic antigen. The antigen-presenting cells are administered intravenously to induce carcinoembryonic antigen-specific cellular immune responses, including cytotoxic T-cell activity against carcinoembryonic antigen-expressing tumor cells. It was evaluated in Duke University-sponsored early clinical studies in metastatic carcinoembryonic antigen-expressing adenocarcinoma and after complete resection of colorectal cancer liver metastases.
