Overview

CARD11 siRNA is a small interfering RNA designed to silence the expression of the Caspase Recruitment Domain Family Member 11 (CARD11) gene. CARD11 is a scaffold protein essential for TCR- and BCR-mediated activation of NF-κB, playing a critical role in lymphocyte activation and immune responses. In preclinical research conducted by Seoul National University Hospital, CARD11 siRNA has been investigated for its ability to attenuate airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR) and inflammation in murine models of obesity-associated asthma. By inhibiting CARD11 signaling during the weight-gain phase, the siRNA reduces lung and adipose tissue inflammation, collagen deposition, and the frequency of type 3 innate lymphoid cells, suggesting CARD11 as a potential therapeutic target for asthma exacerbated by obesity.
