Overview
Cardiopet is an investigational radiopharmaceutical agent, chemically known as (18F)-Fcpha, under clinical evaluation as a PET imaging tracer for assessing myocardial perfusion and fatty acid uptake in patients with known or suspected coronary artery disease. As a small molecule labeled with fluorine-18, it enables non-invasive visualization of cardiac metabolism and blood flow using positron emission tomography. Its primary use is to aid in the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease by providing detailed information on myocardial viability and perfusion abnormalities[2][4].
