Cardiostatil PLUS is a multi-ingredient dietary supplement developed and marketed by Aflofarm Farmacja Polska. It is designed to support the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels and overall cardiovascular health in adults. The primary active component is monacolin K (2.75 mg), a compound derived from fermented red rice that is chemically identical to the statin drug lovastatin and functions as an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor. The formulation also includes 250 mg of bergamot fruit extract (standardized to 150 mg of polyphenols), garlic extract, artichoke leaf extract, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folic acid, and chromium. It is available over-the-counter in capsule form and is typically administered as one capsule daily with a meal.
