Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CAREIMMUN Onco is an oral multivitamin and micronutrient food supplement developed by biosyn Arzneimittel GmbH specifically for the nutritional support of patients undergoing cancer treatment or experiencing nutritional stress. The formulation provides a comprehensive blend of essential vitamins (C, D3, E, and B-complex), minerals (zinc, copper, chromium, molybdenum), and trace elements such as selenium. A key feature of the product is the inclusion of high-dose Coenzyme Q10 (50 mg) and bioactive folate in the form of methyltetrahydrofolate, rather than standard folic acid. Notably, CAREIMMUN Onco deliberately excludes iron and beta-carotene to avoid potential tumor-promoting effects or increased health risks in specific populations, such as smokers. The supplement is delivered as capsules containing coated pellets, which can be opened and sprinkled on food if necessary, and is free from common allergens like gluten and lactose.
