Carnisure

Carnisure is an oral and injectable formulation of levocarnitine, a quaternary ammonium compound that functions as a carrier for long-chain fatty acids into mitochondria, thereby facilitating β-oxidation and ATP production in energy‑dependent tissues such as heart and skeletal muscle. It is marketed primarily by Torrent Pharmaceuticals as a nutritional/pharmacologic supplement for primary and secondary carnitine deficiency, including inherited fatty acid oxidation disorders, carnitine loss in end‑stage renal disease on hemodialysis, and other states of low carnitine such as certain cardiomyopathies, myopathies, preterm infants, and oligospermia.[1][3][5][6][10][12] By replenishing systemic levocarnitine levels, Carnisure supports mitochondrial energy metabolism, may improve muscle strength and fatigue, and can help prevent metabolic decompensation in susceptible patients.[2][6][8][12]
