Carnitine orotate is a compound formed by combining L-carnitine, an amino acid derivative essential for the transport of long-chain fatty acids into mitochondria for β-oxidation and energy production, with orotic acid, a precursor in nucleic acid biosynthesis. The combination acts synergistically to promote fatty acid metabolism and support liver function.
