Carrizumab + zanubrutinib is an investigational combination therapy composed of two agents: - Carrizumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. - Zanubrutinib, a small molecule Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor that blocks B-cell receptor signaling, leading to inhibition of malignant B-cell proliferation and survival. This combination is being studied for its potential synergistic effects in treating hematologic malignancies and possibly solid tumors. The rationale is that combining immune checkpoint blockade with BTK inhibition may improve anti-tumor efficacy by both directly inhibiting tumor cell growth and enhancing T-cell mediated immunity.
