Overview

CART-LILRB4 and CAR-NK-LILRB4 are experimental cell therapies being developed by Immune-Onc Therapeutics to target Leukocyte Immunoglobulin-Like Receptor B4 (LILRB4, also known as ILT3). LILRB4 is an inhibitory immune checkpoint receptor that is highly expressed on the surface of monocytic Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) cells and Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia (CMML) cells, where it plays a key role in immune suppression and tumor infiltration. These therapies involve engineering T-cells or Natural Killer (NK) cells with chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) that specifically recognize and bind to LILRB4, leading to the targeted destruction of malignant cells. The programs are currently in the discovery or preclinical stages for the treatment of hematologic malignancies.
