Overview

CART19 cell (Shenzhen Second People's Hospital) is an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy targeting the CD19 antigen. Developed by Shenzhen Second People's Hospital, the therapy involves the genetic modification of a patient's own T cells to express a CAR construct that recognizes CD19, a protein widely expressed on the surface of B-cell malignancies. This therapy is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial for the treatment of B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and B-cell lymphoma. The clinical strategy specifically focuses on using these anti-CD19 CAR-T cells to target minimal residual disease (MRD) in patients, followed by autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (auto-HSCT) to consolidate remission and improve long-term outcomes.
