Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cartijoint Forte is a multi-ingredient dietary supplement developed by Fidia Farmaceutici for the management of joint health and symptoms associated with mild-to-moderate osteoarthritis. It is formulated as a tablet containing glucosamine hydrochloride (415 mg), chondroitin sulfate (400 mg), and BCM-95 bio-curcumin (50 mg) derived from *Curcuma longa*. The supplement acts as a chondroprotective agent by providing precursors for proteoglycan synthesis, limiting the degradation of articular cartilage, and reducing joint inflammation through the anti-inflammatory properties of curcuminoids. Clinical pilot studies have demonstrated its efficacy in improving pain at rest, pain during movement, and functional capacity (WOMAC scores) in patients with knee osteoarthritis, although it may be less effective than hyaluronic acid-based supplements in certain pain metrics.
