Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cartipep is a nutritional supplement and biologic formulation developed by Anthus Pharmaceuticals in collaboration with Nitta Gelatin for the management of osteoarthritis and joint disorders. It contains a combination of 10g of bioactive collagen peptides and 40mg of Vitamin C (ascorbic acid). The product is designed to support the regeneration of joint cartilage and reduce pain by providing the necessary amino acid building blocks for the extracellular matrix and facilitating the enzymatic synthesis of new collagen fibers. Vitamin C is included as an essential cofactor for the hydroxylation of proline and lysine residues during endogenous collagen synthesis. It is typically administered orally as a sachet and is marketed in India as a complete therapy for joint health and cartilage support.
