Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cartivelle is an autologous cell therapy developed by Regrow Biosciences for the treatment of articular cartilage injuries. The therapy involves harvesting a small biopsy of healthy cartilage from the patient, isolating the chondrocytes, and expanding them in a specialized laboratory. These cultured chondrocytes are then re-implanted into the patient's damaged joint to facilitate the regeneration of hyaline-like cartilage. Cartivelle is approved for market commercialization in India and is designed to restore joint function and alleviate pain in patients with cartilage defects.
