Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Carvedilol phosphate + lisinopril is a combination of two antihypertensive agents used together to manage high blood pressure and heart failure. Carvedilol phosphate is a non-selective beta-adrenergic blocker with alpha-1 blocking activity (third-generation beta-blocker), which reduces heart rate and dilates blood vessels. Lisinopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor that lowers blood pressure by inhibiting the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, leading to vasodilation and reduced aldosterone secretion. The combination may provide complementary benefits in improving endothelial function and reducing oxidative stress in patients with hypertension or heart failure[2][6]. Both drugs are commonly prescribed together for cardiovascular protection.
