carya illinoinensis pollen

Carya illinoinensis pollen is a non-standardized allergenic extract from the pecan tree, developed and distributed by ALK-Abelló, Inc. under the brand name CENTER-AL. [1, 3] It is a biologic product formulated as a subcutaneous injection or suspension. The extract is used for allergen immunotherapy (also known as hyposensitization therapy) to treat allergic respiratory diseases like allergic rhinitis and asthma in individuals sensitized to pecan pollen.
