CASC10 siRNA is an experimental research compound designed to target and knock down the long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) CASC10 (cancer susceptibility candidate 10). CASC10 is significantly upregulated in cisplatin-resistant high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) and is associated with poor prognosis. The drug utilizes small interfering RNA (siRNA) technology to reduce CASC10 expression, which in preclinical models has been shown to inhibit cell proliferation, invasion, and tumor growth while sensitizing cells to cisplatin treatment. In vivo studies have utilized liposomal delivery systems to administer the siRNA. Currently, CASC10 siRNA is primarily used as a research tool in academic settings and has not entered formal clinical development by a pharmaceutical sponsor.
