Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Casdatifan plus tivozanib is an investigational combination therapy being developed for the treatment of advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). The combination consists of casdatifan (AB521), an oral small-molecule inhibitor of hypoxia-inducible factor 2α (HIF-2α) developed by Arcus Biosciences, and tivozanib (Fotivda), an oral small-molecule vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) owned by AVEO Oncology (an LG Chem company). The combination is being evaluated in a randomized cohort of the Phase 1 ARC-20 platform study in patients with advanced ccRCC who have previously progressed on HIF-2α-inhibitor therapy. Arcus Biosciences also plans to initiate a registrational trial of the combination in the late-line setting.
