Overview

Topacalc-5 (also known as Topacal C-5) is a topical dental remineralisation cream containing a casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) complex. Developed by NSI Dental, the product is designed to deliver bioavailable calcium and phosphate ions to the tooth surface to promote the remineralisation of demineralised enamel. The casein phosphopeptide (CPP) component, derived from milk protein, serves to stabilise amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) in a soluble, non-crystalline state, allowing for the effective delivery of minerals into the enamel subsurface. It is primarily indicated for the prevention and treatment of dental caries and enamel demineralisation, including white spot lesions often associated with orthodontic treatment.
