Overview

CPP-ACPF, commonly known by the brand names Tooth Mousse Plus or MI Paste Plus, is a topical remineralizing agent used in dentistry to treat white spot lesions and prevent dental caries. It consists of casein phosphopeptides (CPP) derived from milk protein, which stabilize amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) and fluoride (F) in a soluble form. This complex maintains a high concentration of calcium, phosphate, and fluoride ions at the tooth surface, facilitating the remineralization of subsurface enamel lesions. It is particularly effective in treating white spot lesions that often occur after fixed orthodontic treatment by promoting the deposition of minerals back into the porous enamel structure.
