Overview

CASi-C1q is an investigational RNA interference (RNAi) therapeutic being developed by Switch Therapeutics for the treatment of neuroinflammation and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Utilizing the company's proprietary CASi (Central-Nervous-System-Accessible-siRNA) platform, the drug is designed to deliver small interfering RNA (siRNA) to the central nervous system to knockdown the expression of C1QA, a subunit of the C1q complement protein. By reducing C1q levels, the therapy aims to modulate complement-driven neuroinflammation, which is a key driver of neurodegeneration in FTD and other CNS disorders. The program is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development.
