Casimax

Casimax is a chemical drug classified as an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. It was initially developed by DSM Food Specialties. The primary mechanism of action is inhibition of the ACE enzyme, which plays a key role in regulating blood pressure by converting angiotensin I to the vasoconstrictor angiotensin II. Casimax has been studied for its blood pressure-lowering effects in subjects with high-normal blood pressure or mild hypertension, and clinical trials have also evaluated its safety profile and potential mechanisms involving renin and angiotensin levels[1][7]. The formulation contains specific bioactive peptides including IPP (isoleucine-proline-proline), LPP (leucine-proline-proline), and MAP (methionine-alanine-proline)[7].
